Debut Indian Writers Month – Readathon 2
Guidelines | For Participating Bloggers | For Readers of the Tales Pensieve | For Writers of the contesting books
That time of the year when the Swadeshi movement of Indian writing (as we call it on the Pensieve) is back.
6-months after we had the 1st Debut Indian Writers Month, the month long celebration of first time Indian writing makes a comeback with exciting twists and a new pattern. This time around, for the 1st time, we are opening up the challenge to all book bloggers who love reading Indian fiction or non- fiction.
So for the whole month of May 2013, we invite reviews of the first book of a writer of Indian origin. We also invite author interviews, guest posts by debuting authors or any other stuff that you have on your blogs to promote our writers.
There will be some method to this exciting madness we will be having the whole month, here you go:
Guidelines:
1. Start participating by commenting in the box below – Tell us your name, your blog’s URL & the names of the books you will be reviewing (you can keep adding the names as you go too)
2. As you put up the review on your blog either leave the link here in the comment box or link this page somewhere on your review, so we can go back, read it and add it here.
3. We will maintain a table of all the participating reviews here, on this page.
4. All through the month we will also promote all the participating reviews and other posts though our social media pages.
5. As we move towards the end of the month, we will have an exciting poll about the participating books and of course we will celebrate the best ones.
Rules:
1. Anyone who reviews books on their blogs/ websites are welcome to join the challenge.
2. The idea is to read as many new Indian writers as you can so there is no cap on how many reviews you can submit; the minimum is one (1) after that the more the merrier.
3. Over lapping of reviews is allowed though not encouraged i.e if a participant blogger has already submitted or has pledged to submit(on this page) the review of a particular book during May 2013 then other participants can still read & review the same book.
4. All the books reviews submitted should have been read & reviewed in May 2013 only. Similarly the author interviews, guest posts and any other posts being linked here should have been uploaded on your blog/ site in May 2013 only.
